Three Wishes

For Language Arts this week, you must decide on three wishes. The first wish must be a thing. The second wish must be a happening. The third wish must be a place that you would like to visit. Wishing for more wishes or money is NOT allowed. These wishes should tell the reader a little bit about you. Think about them for a while and try to make them as interesting as possible. On the back of this sheet you may want to make a web to help you do a bit of planning.

You will be writing three paragraphs-- one for each wish. In the topic sentence of the first paragraph introduce your three wishes. For the rest of paragraph one, elaborate on your first wish. The topic sentence of paragraph two should introduce your second wish. The rest of paragraph two's sentences will elaborate upon this second wish. The same goes for the third wish and paragraph three. The concluding sentence of paragraph three should summarize, restate, or make a comment about all three wishes.

REMEMBER:
__ 1. 5-8 sentences for EACH paragraph, for a total of 15-24 sentences.
__ 2. Focus on the five elements of good writing, particulary PURPOSE and DIRECTION.
__ 3. CLEARLY reworked rough draft.
__ 4. Signature of adult who proofread your composition for PRESENTATION.
__ 5. Good copy in ink.
__ 6. All THREE papers turned in with final on top.
