Invention of Television

For English this week you are to write two paragraphs about television. Do not describe your favorite program! You will need a topic sentence for each paragraph. The first paragraph needs a transitional sentence which will introduce the second paragraph. The second paragraph needs a concluding sentence for the whole paper.
Ideas to consider:
How is television useful?
What are the drawbacks of television?
Are commercials effective? Why?
Why are some programs more popular than others?
What would you want to know if a TV producer came to talk to you?
Do you have any knowledge or questions about live broadcasts?
Does news coverage interest you? Why?
Perhaps you have some ideas for improvement for television or future uses for television?
REMEMBER:
__ 1. 5-8 sentences for EACH paragraph.
__ 2. Focus on the five elements of good writing, particulary PURPOSE.
__ 3. Clearly reworked rough draft.
__ 4. Signature of adult who proofread your composition for PRESENTATION.
__ 5. Good copy in ink.
__ 6. All three papers turned in with final on top.
