Red Ribbon Week



This week we celebrate the awareness of being DRUG FREE! This year's theme is ³LEADING BY EXAMPLE.² You heard today the HISTORY of Red Ribbon Week and the importance we MUST hold for all the hard work, planning, and goals of our laws and enforcement needs in drug control. You are being asked to write one of the following, it being your choice:

*A poem.
*A story.
*An essay.
*A puppet script w/ puppets.
*A persuasive TV news script.

Your choice must show the benefits of being drug free. Your message must be centered around a ³donıt do drugs/alcohol² idea. Express yourself and your ideas by using drawings, slogans, symbols, newspaper or magazine pictures. Your message can be creative...fun.... serious.... etc. Have a colorful, neat paper. Take your time.

___ +5 extra points for typed/ or computer written paper.
___ Poem in poem form.
___ Conclusion restates your area chosen.
___ Turning in this direction sheet, pre-writing sheet, and two drafts.
