National Pencil Month

Did you know that February is designated National Pencil Month? That's right! This month is dedicated to honoring the hardworking, underrated tool that you, as a student, utilize each and everyday of your life.

For English this week you are to write a composition that features the pencil as the main character. You might want to tell about a typical day in a pencil's life, or you might try to create a story that features a problem a pencil encounters. Whatever you choose to do is all right as long as you include DIALOG (conversation using quotation marks) and you tell the story from the pencil's POINT OF VIEW (when you use the pronouns 'I' or 'WE' you will be referring to the pencil).
