Olympic Tickets



For Paragraph a Week this week you will be writing a letter. Your principal has just received two tickets to the Olympic games in __________. She/he has decided to hold a contest to see who should be the recipient of the tickets. Write a letter to her/him telling why you should be the student chosen to win the tickets.

On the back of this paper create a web. Include a bubble for each part of the letter. Add appropriate details. Have at least 15 bubbles total.

___ 2. pre-writing (brainstorming) activity
___ 3. at least five but no more than eight sentences in the BODY of the letter
___ 4. five elements of good writing, especially DIRECTION and PURPOSE
___ 5. signature of adult who helped you proofread your draft for PRESENTATION
___ 6. all three papers stapled together with neat final in ink on top
