Olympic Sport Expert
This week for Paragraph a Week you get to be an expert! Research one of the summer Olympic sports, learning as much as you can about it: how it is played, its origin, noteable participants, etc. You'll want to consult encyclopedias, reference books, current magazines and newspapers, and the internet for information. Once you've gained the expertise, write an explanatory paragraph about your chosen sport.

___ 2. topic sentence, detail sentences, concluding sentence
___ 3. five elements of good writing, focus on PURPOSE and IDEAS
___ 4. signature of adult who helped you proofread your draft for PRESENTATION
___ 5. all three papers stapled together with a neat final in ink on the top
