George and Abe



If Abe Lincoln and George Washington were to meet, what would they talk about? Here ís your chance to take part in history. Write a conversation between these famous men.

Each man must speak at least three different times. Use three different examples of placement of words which tell who is speaking. (i.e. 1. Before the spoken word; 2. after the spoken word; 3. Between the spoken words.)

Be sure to use quotation marks and the correct punctuation. Try to use good synonyms for said.

REMEMBER:

  1. ___ five elements of good writing; focus on PURPOSE and PRESENTATION
  2. ___ clearly REWORKED rough draft
  3. ___ final is neat and written in ink
  4. ___ signature of adult who helped you proofread your work for PRESENTATION
  5. ___ all three papers stapled together with final on top
