Returning to School
This week for Language, you will begin your Paragraph a Week writing. This writing will need to be proofread, edited, and then rewritten neatly. You will need to have the person who proofread
your copy write their signature.
Your topic this week is RETURNING TO SCHOOL. To get you started, jot some ideas on the back of this paper. You may make a list or create a web, your choice. These ideas should be what you thought about starting back to school, whether they were happy thoughts or thoughts that bothered you. After you have brainstormed your ideas, put them into paragraph form. Remember to indent your paragraph and check for capitals and punctuation.
REMEMBER:
- ___ 5-8 sentences
- ___ topic sentence, detail sentences, concluding sentence
- ___ five elements of good writing, focusing on IDEAS
- ___ clearly reworked rough draft
- ___ final is neat and written in ink
- ___ signature of adult who helped you proofread your work for content and PRESENTATION
- ___ all three papers stapled together with final on top
