Remove the paper wrappers from the broken crayons and break the crayons into even smaller pieces. Using an OLD (one you don't want to use again) muffin tin, fill the cups with various pieces, mixing the colors. Set your oven to low and place the tin in it. Allow the crayons to completely melt before removing them from the oven. Cool them and remove them from the tin. Break the circular multi-colored crayons into halves. Place them in an easily accessible area in your classroom for your students to use.
With a little practice, twisting and turning as you color, you can create multi-colored lines and fill-ins. Sometimes the color combinations yeild strange colors! Beware!
TIP: If you do not have an old muffin tin, line your tin with cupcake wrappers to protect it from discoloration.
