I think the fairy tale section was wonderful! I thought it was very nice that we could have the chance to talk to other classes besides the ones in our own school system. I also loved to listen to Miss Ackley's fairytales. She is always able to pick out the good ones and they always sound even better when she is the one who reads them. I learned that there are a lot of different versions of Cinderella. Some are called Cinderella and some have other names like Cinderella Penguin, Cinder-Elly, or Yeh Shen. I liked this project because we got to come up with our own titles and versions of Cinderella. I also learned that you have to work hard to get good work. You also have to have good work habits. One of my biggest rules is never give up and keep trying your best. I thought this was fun because it was our chance to be creative and come up with our own ideas and we could write any appropriate type of story...Ashley

I can't believe how much I learned! When we read the Charles Perrault version and I heard it was made in the 1700's. I was surprised! After that our teacher told us there were over 1000 versions of Cinderella! I thought there was only a few versions. When we read Cinderella (by: Charles Perrault) we learned a lot of new words, too. Then we started our Cinderella stories. I can't believe all the work our class put in their Cinderella books. It took me about 4 weeks to finish it. I was very proud when I got done with it. I enjoyed doing our Cinderella stories! I learned with a fairy tale story you can use your imagination and go so far with it. I use to think I couldn't use my imagination just to do a story, but anybody can use their imagination. The part I enjoyed about this assignment was writing it, drawing the pictures, and doing the cover. I will enjoy sharing my book with others. I'm proud of what I did, even if I'm not a real artist.
